I don't have much time right now but I wanted to get this up.
Nate Smith is a well rounded designer who can work on identity, web and print without having to resort to personal 'style' to get it all done. Every piece is distinct from the next and that always makes me happy. When a designer starts creating pieces that are different, but in some way still the same, I think that they're going to have a tough time sticking around.
Nate looks as though he's creating for his clients (which would seem obvious, really) instead of himself. That's why he's got lasting power. It's the same reason I didn't. It's a tough racket to constantly listen to some marketing suit who 'just doesn't like yellow'.
